I asked peace moms permission if I could write a story about her, she wasn’t overly happy about it because she feels it may fuel the hatred in some, but I hope she forgives me for doing it anyway, because whether you have many enemies and just a few friends, those few friends make it all worthwhile.The a4 team is well aware that she has enemies as we all do, and that’s why we have never written about her, except for a comment she left in a story a long time ago.
I personally admire this lady and she is a lady, I have never seen her lose her cool or even cuss.
She has been attacked mercilessly for years and we only know this because we listen to the talk in there.
She is a strong woman and hasn’t lost that wonderful forgiving appeal that many do after years of abuse, she hasn’t become bitter or cynical as many of her enemies have.
She stands out in my mind as trying hard to help people that she has witnessed being hurt.
Her enemies call her a whiner yet it is they that do all the whining
She goes into the rooms now and again and is polite to everyone even those that trash her.
I remember when Monica jean and peace mom made up their differences and both where attacked for it’
I thought Catholics were supposed to be forgiving but the room didn’t obviously.
She has made no pretense about her life and the abuse she suffered in it in reality, and to go from that, to abuse in a Catholic chat room and come out of it still acting like LADY still with dignity, still forgiving and still strong in Catholic faith is a gift from God.
Many of you people could learn a lot from her and I hope some of you have.

Pippy, I'm not upset about you doing this, just hope it doesn't start a LONG running attack. Yes, I've been open to my past ONLY to help other women in the room (as it surprisingly HAS). I've been amazed at the number of women who have contacted me through the years who were either being abused or who WERE abused and were able to get help on some resources I had for them or just a shoulder to cry on who has been there!! yeah, I've know peacemom for a while, there are a few of us who always know she is good for a prayer and probably drive her nuts with requests, but she is always happy with that huggy emoticon to give us the prayers we request,,God love her....she is a really good friend to many in that room and outside as well...she'll do absolutely anything for anyone I personally know that she has even helped some financially, not being a wealthy person herself,,she just wants to help),,,I've rarely experienced the depth and generosity of love that she possesses,,,ladygrace and I have said this about her many many times..after all these years and all of the pain,,,she can only love,,,yeah we all have our days...but she will always see something hopeful through all the gray clouds...we are thankful she hasn't left,,,because if anyone had a reason,,,she did....she is surrounded by angels most suredly,,but thinks herself so unworthy when I tell her that,,that is what I think of most when i think of peacemom...God bless you, peace,,,thanks for the many many prayers you have prayed for me,,,cause you know what? there are many who remember YOU as well, you ARE worthy and an angel God sent to us!! I asked her for prayer and you're right, she is always there. She also helped me mend my relationship with my mom and my mom is very thankful for her taking her time and her advice. Thank you, peacemom_tm36, you will always be a part of our family.
Someone sent me this site and I love the picture and it's appropriate. I once was in the room with sag and some others when a young man was there and said that he was becoming Catholic because of peacemom_tm36. Those of us who know here weren't surprised, considering her own journey to Catholicism. Anyway, then sag said that because of that peacemom_tm36 is guaranteed a spot in heaven. Now, whether or not that is true, I don't know, but even though peacemom_tm36 jokes about spending so much time in purgatory, I believe there is a spot for her in heaven. She has given everything to God and has survived much here on earth and she continues to fight for her faith and love others. God bless her. Thank you for having this on this site.
I remember who that was. That was Josh Wilburne! He was such a nice kid...wonder whatever happened to him? They had a really close friendship,,I know she was like a mother to him.
It would be great if we all knew we have a guaranteed a spot in heaven, but that would be for God to say.

Thanks Stings, that was an excerp (sp) from a poem I wrote many years ago, and thought THAT particular part of a 3 page poem was one many women could relate to. Thank you so much for your kindness - YOU are ALSO a survivor and on MANY levels we are sisters in Christ! Again, thank you.
I'd also like to address the issue of having a free ticket to heaven over an ACT of bringing someone to our faith. That is what we are SUPPOSED to be doing as Catholics - that "act" is NOTHING extraordinary. If because of our actions/words, we lead someone to the TRUE faith, then we have done as Christ would have us do - HOWEVER, that, by NO means, makes us perfect to stand before GOD in heaven - at least that is how I see it. I KNOW Josh has said I was a part of his journey - I, personally thank GOD for allowing me to be so - BUT I have NO free ticket to heaven. I WILL be in purgatory (I HOPE people will pray for me when I'm gone), and will NEVER reach the perfection to stand before GOD. Thank you all for the wonderful posts here, it's an amazing experience, considering the past and VERY heart-warming. God bless all of you and PEACE!!!!

Peacemom_tm36, I was in the room earlier when familytree/mysterylight attacked you for absolutely no reason at all (and wouldn't even let you speak on the mic!), and cool_customer joined in, catechist/monc said some very kind words, but I was just stunned at the treatment you received by these men. But, I want to thank you for handling yourself with your usual dignity. Sometimes just letting them dig their holes and stepping back is the best way, because there were a bunch of us in there that heard these two jerks were assholes, but we saw it today. Anyone who thinks anything more of them is blind. Peacemom_tm36, you are a woman of peace and thank you for not jumping into a situation that would have caused an ugly situation, just remember you are loved and respected by many in there.
